The sinc function was the logo for ICIAM Sydney 2003; ICIAM is held every four years,
the next one is in Zurich 2007, the International Congress of Industrial and Applied
Mathematics. This piece embodies the sinc interpolatory function and cnvolves it with
some natural features of the Australasian continent, its geology and marsupials--parabolic
trajectories, inselbergs, and gnammas.
