Helaman Ferguson carved the original 2⁵ for his and his wife Claire's 32nd wedding anniversary together, 32 = 2⁵, which he thought a binary occasion, if there ever were one, being in each others orbit the whole time. The piece has graduated into new sizes and contexts, Mars-Venus, Zeus-Hera, Romeo-Juliet, Ramanujan-Michelangelo, etc., Eine Kleine Link Musik, usw.
