This piece was part of an exhibit in the 2003 ACM/SIGGRAPH booth at the SIGGRAPH 2002 meeting in Los Angeles. The Coons Prize committee looked at a selection of about five pieces and picked this form for their award. My original plan was granite replications for the award (cf., "Morse-Lemma").
